MFI in the Marketplace:
To
teach,
counsel and equip Christians in the media
and entertainment marketplace so that
they may be able to fulfill their calling from God
and help transform their workplace, cities and nation.

 Message from Pastor Bob Rieth:
For the past 20 years I have had the unique
privilege of pastoring the “extended church” of men and
women who are the leaders in media and entertainment. As a
marketplace minister to these professionals, I’ve learned that few people know how
to successfully integrate their faith into the daily business of the
marketplace.
Our goal as we
launch this new arm of Media Fellowship International is to help men and
women fulfill God’s call on their lives by understanding the role
that their faith plays in their marketplace calling. We must
allow God to show us how to work well and how to
experience His power in the context of the workplace. |

Our Objective:
We want to challenge
and encourage leaders in their Christian life and then assist these
leaders in building a sustainable work-life ministry that will bring
transformation to the media and entertainment marketplace through their
sphere of influence in the industry. |

Media
and Entertainment as a Mission Field:
We need to consider the media and entertainment workplace as the major
window for missions today.
Where do the majority
of these people spend the majority of their time interacting with the
majority of the lost world? The only place that fits that description
is the workplace. We need to
intentionally
train workplace believers to apply their faith in their work life where
they spend 60-70% of their waking hours. We must continue to build the
Kingdom of God in the workplace through prayer groups, Bible studies,
outreach luncheons, etc.
